Base Camp
Upon arriving at OMC, campers will be assigned to one of three prescribed camping facilities to meet their program needs.
The Stables
The Stables, our newest facility, is an antique log cabin, reconstructed from hand hewn logs, chinked the “old way”, and ready to serve the 21st century camper, who wants to experience the quiet, the peace, and the joy of Smoky Mountain living.
The Stables are the place to come to get watered, fedand groomed. It provides year-round lodging forup to 25 people in two bunk rooms and features a large kitchen, bathrooms, showers, and a dininghall that will seat 70.

The Bunkhouses
Truly on the side of a mountain, the Bunkhouses are a cluster of 3rustic cabins that sleep a total of 24 campers and 3-6 counselors. Bunkhouses do not have running water or electricity, but are cozily furnished with kerosene lanterns and comfy bunk beds. They’re just a short distance from bathing
and eating at The Stables. There is a fire pit on site and great front porches equipped with porch swings or benches.
The High Camp
The High Camp features primitive camping on platforms with tin roofs and drop down canvas sides, should a storm roll in. The fire place is a favorite for cookouts and right in the center of the four sleeping areas.
High Camp is a bit father from The Stables, but much closer to Rendezvous Rock, a favorite place to worship God in the beauty of His creation. Outhouses are available, but no electricity or pumped water.
The Park
Over half a million acres is just a short hike from OMC.We
leave out from Base Camp and head into the park to camp at “The Big Poplars” or “Pretty Hollow Gap.” What a blessing to have this unique environment outside our front door.
